Position Title: Summer Public Relations Intern
Compensation: $10.00/hour
Work Hours: 40 hours/week
Start Date: May/June 2012
End Date: August 2012
This is a rare full-time opportunity to learn from PR professionals. It is a competitive internship that will result in full time summer employment for one student.
Summary of Position Responsibilities:
Wilt Public Relations is in search of an eager learner who is willing to take initiative to learn more about this exciting, fast-paced communication field. Wilt PR needs someone who can handle the responsibility of working on non-profit accounts and other duties as assigned. The abilities to multitask, think creatively, manage time and handle deadlines with grace are necessary for this position. The Public Relations Intern will conduct research, write copy and assist with creative concept development and will require the completion of some administrative tasks as well. The intern will learn about public relations in a hands-on, creative, forward-thinking environment. You will have the opportunity to build a portfolio to show to future employers and will have full access to all of your work upon completion of your internship.
Desired Qualifications:
Wilt PR is looking for a college student that is seeking a degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or other communication-related field.The candidate needs to be a self-starter who possesses both excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidates that apply must be familiar with both Windows and Macintosh (Apple) Operating Systems and Microsoft Office. Any knowledge or training a candidate has had in Adobe Creative Suite is also preferred, as well as past public relations or marketing experiences. Wilt Public Relations is in search of an eager learner who is willing to take initiative to learn more about this exciting, fast-paced communication field. Wilt PR needs someone who can handle the responsibility of assisting the graphic designer with research, design and production. In addition to assisting the graphic designer, the intern will work collaboratively with all Wilt PR staff.

Wilt PR is looking for a college student who is seeking a degree in Graphic Design. The candidate needs to be a self-starter who possesses both excellent design and layout skills. Candidates who apply must be familiar with Macintosh Operating Systems and Microsoft Office. Applicants must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
